An engaging and thought-provoking awareness session for the students of Classes IX to XII on May 27, 2025. The session focused on two highly relevant themes of the modern age—the importance of teamwork and awareness about fake news—aimed at nurturing responsible, informed, and collaborative young individuals.
The school was honoured to host Dr. Pragya Kaushik, a distinguished Media Educator and Communication Skills Trainer, as the resource person for the session. With her vast experience in media literacy and communication, Dr. Kaushik conducted the session in a highly interactive and student-centric manner, making complex concepts simple and relatable for the young audience.
Dr. Kaushik began the session by highlighting the significance of teamwork in both academic and professional life. Through real-life examples and interactive activities, she explained how collaboration, mutual respect, and shared responsibility help individuals achieve common goals more effectively. She encouraged students to appreciate diverse perspectives, communicate openly, and work harmoniously as part of a team—skills essential for success in today’s interconnected world.
The second part of the session focused on fake news awareness, a topic of immense importance in the digital era. Dr. Kaushik sensitized students to the dangers of misinformation and the rapid spread of unverified content through social media platforms. She guided students on how to identify fake news, verify sources, and think critically before believing or sharing information. Emphasizing the role of youth as digital citizens, she urged students to act responsibly and ethically in the online space.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions and shared their viewpoints. It proved to be highly enriching, equipping students with essential life skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and media literacy.
Overall, the session was a great success and left a lasting impact on the students. It not only enhanced their awareness but also inspired them to become responsible team players and thoughtful digital citizens in an ever-evolving digital world.
